Blogger defined

Guy Kawasaki is an interesting person and a good writer. I read his book The Art of the Start on a recommendation from a friend. I ran across his blog today and on his banner he defines a blogger:

Blogger. n. someone with nothing to say writing for someone with nothing to do.

I don’t know about you, the reader, but I think that describes me, the writer pretty well.

I jumped over this morning off of a reference that Greg Boncimino made to another entry and then I saw this one regarding "blogger defined."

I hope he really doesn't believe all of that. I won't speak for my readers; however, I like to think that I really do have something to say (not when it comes to things about me) ... but the things and people that I chose to publicize, recognize, honor, promote, etc.

Best wishes to you on Sunday and certainly hoping that I get a chance to meet you in person some time in the future. (Hmmm ... if you happen to be inside the GRB and see the HRB orange banner up, come by and say Hi!)

I think Guy is being tongue-in-cheek and I was too. Some people really have nothing to say and some say things that have real value. I believe the blogsphere reflects our culture pretty well.

I'm going to pick up my packet today. I will stop by the HRB banner if it's up and say hi. If not this weekend we will meet soon I'm sure.

BTW - I really enjoy reading your blog.
